At BSK, we strongly believe in the need for compliance and to always raise safety and protection standards in all our operations. We comply with environmental, health, and safety standards to ensure our employees and customers are protected based on the highest levels of standards. We are committed to constantly improve and create a safer environment for our employees, while at the same time comply with environmental standards to ensure sustainability is achieved. Our priorities are:

Customer Satisfaction

Customer satisfaction is of utmost importance to us and we have a strong track record to prove this. At BSK, we are always open to working closely with our customers as we strive to give them exactly what they require. We have also made managing operational risks our main priority, as we strive to ensure the safety of operations. In order to provide excellent customer service, we have trained our team to meet the highest standard of skills and operations. As an added bonus, we are also constantly finding new ways to help our customers reduce operational costs.

Operational Safety Management (OSM) standards

BSK's OSM standard was drawn up by our team as a guide to apply the highest ethical standards in all our projects, based on two of our core values which are integrity and compliance. As we carry out our operations in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations set by the government, we are also bound by our OSM standards to work professionally, responsibly and ethically.  

For BSK, safety is an indicator of operational excellence and our standards clearly outlines safe and efficient practices to be applied in all our projects and operations. The OSM is also a tool used by us to measure and improve our management system through self-assessment to gauge our employees best practice performance for both offshore and onshore operations. It is also drawn up based on the industry standards outlined by the Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF).

Environmental Policy

As climate change is a matter which must be taken seriously, we at BSK are committed to doing our part to preserve the environment by mitigating and minimising pollution. In line with one of our core values, which is sustainability, we take environmental preservation very seriously and are always looking for ways to minimise harm to the environment. Among some ways already incorporated now is the use of more efficient resources, optimizing fuel consumption, and minimising pollution.

We have been in full compliance with the existing environmental policies and acts enforced by the Malaysian government, and are always prepared to act quickly and provide efficient responses to tackle any environmentally-related incidents. Issues regarding sustainability and the environment are also always taken into consideration when making business decisions. To do our part, we always strive to promote environmentally-friendly technologies, materials, goods, and services.

Health and Safety Policy

The health and safety of our employees is something that we prioritise in every aspect of our job and is something that cannot be compromised. Our employees are our most valuable assets and we live by this saying:  

“No business operation is so important that it will still be pursued at the expense of safety”.

Our main goals are to minimise risk and continue having zero accidents or work-related health problems. To manage and achieve these goals, we are committed to:

  • Uphold our health and safety policy to prevent accidents and work-related health problems

  • Be in control of health and safety risks arising from work-related operations

  • Provide training to employees to ensure they are competent 

  • Engage and consult with employees frequently on their day-to-day health and safety condition

  • Provide advice and supervision on occupational health and safety standards

  • Prepare and ensure employees are well equipped to respond to emergency situations, with proper protocols in place

  • Provide a safe and healthy working environment in the office, offshore and onshore sites
