BSK’s subsea services are provided under our Bumi Subsea Group subsidiary, where it strives to deliver offshore engineering, underwater construction works and other services to international and local oil & gas industry players. In this ever-changing industry, there is a continued shortage of properly qualified and trained offshore crew to deal with the growing range of complex issues faced by operators and contractors. Our goal is to become the preferred global integrated subsea service provider within the offshore oil & gas industry.
Over the years, Bumi Subsea has successfully strengthened its presence in the Southeast Asian region, namely in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. We have the expertise, capability and capacity to provide excellent turnkey solutions to our clients such as procurement, engineering services and subsea construction works. Bumi Subsea has three offices in the Southeast Asian region, located in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. Our entity in Malaysia is a wholly owned 100% Bumiputra company and a holder of the required Petronas Licenses. We are also a member of the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) and we are also certified ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001, a further reassurance to clients that we only deliver quality services.
Our Subsea Solutions
We are a one stop solutions provider with 5 services tailored to meet all our clients’ needs. The five services we provide are:
- Subsea Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines (SURF)
- Subsea Intervention and Construction Support Works
- Underwater Inspection, Repair and Maintenance (IRM)
- Drilling Support
- Pre-Commissioning and Decommissioning Support
We also provide certified equipment and well-trained personnel who will be able to execute turnkey contracts efficiently and professionally. Our range of support and engineering work extends beyond asset operations and management as we also do project executions to local and international oil & gas companies.

Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs)
We currently own 16 Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), in which we invested a lot of time and money to build. Over the course of our operations, we have made several strategic acquisitions to further improve our ROV systems. Our inventory is now made up of Inspection Class ROVs, Observation Class ROVs, Semi-work class ROVs, and Work class ROVs.
